FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
•A- Since September of 2010.
•Q- How much time is allotted for each subject?
•A- Public, Private and Charter schools have guidelines to follow as to how much time is allotted for each course, but here we do not have to focus on time; even though we have a set schedule our focus is on whether or not the children are grasping the material introduced to them, therefore we will spend as much time needed on any particular subject and if we find a child struggling to understand after a lot of attention is geared on one or more subjects we will call an intervention meeting with all teachers and parents so that we can ensure they receive the best education possible.
• Q- Being that your school isn't solely online I'm sure the children would perform better getting a good nights rest, but do you foresee any problems with children not getting their proper rest being that you're not solely online?
•A- NO we do not! Just because we now give the children a choice to be educated online from the comfort of their homes or a physical classroom setting, does not mean that you "the parent" will allow them to change their bedtime schedule. This is solely up to you as to when your children will lie down for bed; but we would suggest allowing them at least 10 hours of a good nights sleep.
•Q- What books and material are you using?
•A- Please refer to our curriculum pages, you will find every book needed and prices by clicking on the preferred curriculum links .
•Q- How much time do you allocate to each grade level?
•A- This is based on each individuals need, some need more time than others.
•Q- Is this a PACE program that is basically workbooks and each student does his/her own work?
•A- We have workbooks, but we are not a "School of Tomorrow" that is based off of a pace program with children teaching themselves. Our teachers are physically engaged in your child's education, as well as making sure that the children clearly understand what is being taught. Even though there is a LOT of extra planning time for the teachers; our teachers go that extra mile because we at TA care and this is what differentiated instruction is all about!
- Q- Are uniforms required at TA?
- A- Yes, all children if whether online or in a physical setting are REQUIRED to purchase and wear your uniforms at home, in the classroom, and when going to library or any other event pertaining to your class syllabus. You must remember that you're representing your school and we want all of our students to look their best in the eyes of the public! This is MANDATORY!
